February 25

We continued to fasten objects to the dinosaur skeleton and rummaged through the piles of treasures and found circle shapes to use as spots on the dino. The tail was finished, and a rubber bicycle tire was used on the spine.

Next dino work day – Friday, March 3, 10 a.m.

Where: Maintenance Department at The Joplin Globe, 117 E. 4th Street
(The entrance to the Maintenance Department is from the alley on the
West side of the building.)

Please RSVP to Tricia Courtney — (417) 627-7280

Rejuvenate Joplin

What to bring: wire, wire cutters, hacksaws, drills, nuts & bolts, anything useful to help attach a variety of materials to the frame. We have a fair amount of split rubber tubing that will be used as the first layer covering the armature. FYI, Marv has designed it so the head of the dinosaur is removable for easier access and eventual transport.

Thank you in advance for participating in this terrific, collaborative endeavor. Can’t wait to see the SpivaSaurus soar!
