S
Endowing the Future

Generous members and friends who share George A.Spiva’s vision have helped the art center flourish. Our ability to maintain the center’s superb exhibits andeducational programs depends
on the continued generosity of our supporters. In 2000, Spiva Center for the Arts established an endowment fund to ensure such continuity.

A Board of Trustees oversees the fund, with the goal of increasing the endowment to the point that the interest income it generates may be used for programming and staffing, while the principal remains intact. Contributions to the fund remain in the fund; only the interest accrued
through careful investing may be used to underwrite Spiva programs.

A strong endowment fund is essential to Spiva’s future programs, and planned gifts and bequests will help the fund grow. As it increases, the endowment fund will provide the support for the art center to further its mission and achieve new standards in exhibition and education.

Spiva programs are made possible with financial assistance
from The Friends of St. Avips and the Missouri Arts Council,
a State agency.

Thank you for your continued support
