“Portrait
of Joe”
36” x 30” Oil on Canvas
“I like
(this painting) very much because just looking
at it, made me feel closer to Joe. I miss (him)
very much. I want all the proceeds from the painting
to go to Joe’s memorial fund.”
— Ed Larson
Ed
Larson and Joe Beeler were best buddies growing
up in Joplin and formed a friendship that endured
through the years and several adventures.
Larson is a painter and sculptor residing in Santa
Fe. To honor and remember his dear friend, Larson
created this colorful and energetic portrait of
a smiling Joe Beeler and donated it to Spiva for
this silent auction fundraiser.
