Spiva Classes

Spiva provides a broad spectrum of creative, educational art programs for the four-state community and encourages all age groups to explore, enjoy and participate in the arts. Spiva’s educational programs take place in our galleries, in the classrooms and sometimes in the streets!

To secure a spot in any of our classes, registration and payment must be made. Download our Class Registration Form here and mail/fax to Spiva or you may register over the phone (417.623.0183) or in person. Online registration is in the works...

Educational and Youth Programs

Education is a major component of our mission statement at Spiva. Our children's program presents opportunities for creative experience for youth of all ages.

Young Artists Studio

Our core program for children grades K through 9 explores the methods and techniques used by the artists who are exhibiting in our main gallery.

Programs For Teens

Teens work with a professional artist to develop art for the community. Learning the design process in five week programs, participants analyze, design, and implement a project. Past projects include a mural on a local bridge and a graphic design project for the Northpark Mall's twenty-fifth anniversary. We work tirelessly in building new and exciting summer and after school programs for our community kids.

Thinking of pursuing art after high school or just don’t get enough of it at school? Then this is for you. Art Lounge is an amazing program that helps build your knowledge, as well as your portfolio. Explore the studio of a local artist to gain inspiration and insight. Learn the basics of creating a blog to showcase your work and inspire others.
