From
the Director
Spivathon:
Now is the time to
"Picture Yourself in the Arts!"
Like any masterpiece, Spiva Center for the Arts
must be cared for. With this year’s Spivathon
annual fund campaign, the Board of Directors is
asking you to Picture Yourself in the Arts. The
role you play and the support you offer will help
determine Spiva's future.
Over the last 60 years, with the support of valued
members and a growing community of contributors,
the Center has grown into a leading cultural institution
for the entire region — a work of art in its
own right.

The
annual fund campaign bridges the gap between traditional
sources of income, such as membership dues and grants,
and the ever-increasing costs of day-to-day operations.
The Board has set a goal of $35,000 for Spivathon: Picture
Yourself in the Arts. By meeting —
or exceeding — this challenge, the gap in funding
for operations will be covered, and staff, Board members,
and volunteers can focus on planning and delivering services
that distinguish Spiva.
When you give to Spiva, the difference your dollars make
is substantial. Your gift allows for world-class exhibits;
interesting, high quailty art education for all ages;
and conscientious maintenance of Spiva's historic facility.
Please join the Board in contributing to Spivathon: Picture
Yourself in the Arts. Your gift will help ensure a bright,
colorful future for Joplin's masterpiece, George A. Spiva
Center for the Arts.
Thank you!
